Art 220 Day 6

Today in class we reviewed our homework. The class brought an image with ten phrases/words to change the meaning. Some were really good and others not so much. Once we started to go around talking about our pictures, the concept came to me. This exercise brought out our creativity with our pictures. I sort of understood the homework assignment but once I started to see the pattern of what Jimmy expected, it all made sense. The purpose of this was to really bring out bizarre meanings to our images. We all had simple pictures and the purpose of making bizarre comments was to make the image racy and exotic. Changing the meaning completely will inspire different emotions from people. After understanding this assignment I realized how important it is to think of all the "wrong" ideas first because those are probably the "right" ones.

livid-informal furiously angry : he was livid at being left out.
animated-full of life or excitement; lively.
ecstatic-feeling or expressing overwhelming happiness or joyful excitement.

  2. Wrong ideas are good to use because they catch the reader or viewer off-guard. By catching their attention, it causes them to think more about what is being presented to them.
